Rekka ( Without Wings)

The film begins with a business deal gone awry between the antagonists Chezhiyan & David in Coimbatore that results into a big vengeance. 


Story then continues after several months in Kumbakonam, where our hero Shiva (Vijay Sethupathi) does social work of helping the lovers into getting married due to his guilt of a sin he did in his childhood, now he kidnaps the fiance of David from the marriage hall as he heard the girl was not interested in him, David then comes to meet Shiva and leaves without actually creating a issue.
but we have learnt from all that commercial flicks over the years is that a villain never forgives his foe,
so after few days by random, Shiva and his dad get to see a murder of some guy from the hands of David and this worries Shiva's dad that Shiva may not be safe.

The expected happens, as Shiva's sister is about to be married a local bar brawl leads Shiva and his friend (Sathish) to Davids placeand meanwhile David learns that Shiva's Sister is getting Married and orders few of his men to go to the marriage hall, Shiva then pleads David to leave his family out of this and that he will do anything for that, so David asks him to kidnap the daughter of a well renowned and powerful politician in Madurai.

Till this everything was going smooth, now the drag starts, Shiva goes to Madurai and meets the girl and just kinda asks the girl for a selfie, but the girl plans to elope with him just like that, Now It is an unwritten rule in Tamil Cinema Commercial flicks that the female lead is always a "LOOSE PONNU" (crazy girl) here Bharati (Lakshmi Menon) is disguised as Queen of all loose ponnu, not only her but her entire family is crazy i mean batshit crazy.

As we have also been enlightened  from years of Commercial Cinemas that Madurai is a land of goons wearing white cotton shirt and Vaishty with aruval, in this movie there are hundreds of such goons chasing Shiva and Bharati, but the hero without actually breaking a sweat beats them up good (are u serious!),
so after all that extra effect of marana mass by our Makkal Chelvan Vijay Sethupathi (??_) they move on to Coimbatore  where the story meets its climax, ( Meanwhile there is a small portion where Shiva tells Bharati about his past childhood sin, this is actually a relief in the entire movie where a character called Mala Akka a Tution teather that Kid Shiva had likes for, Selvam and Mala loved each other, Mala and her dad disappears and the plot then again goes downhill and due to some arguments and striking Selvam becames mentally ill and Shiva blames it on himself.

Climax, here the two main villains meet again and a "WWE TRIPLE THREAT" match begins each of them beets up Shiva and then Shiva Beats them and this goes on and on for !10Min!. then as usual the hero gets the girl leaves for his home town, a guessed happy reunion takes place and thats that.

Verdict :- Please keep your brains at home while going to watch this film, there is no logic, no-brainier, a poor attempt at mass flick, a speed-bump for Vijay Sethupathi.
